Finite Element Analysis on Hysteretic Behavior of H-shaped Columns of Thin-Walled Sections of 690 MPa High Strength Steel

چکیده

High strength steel is widely used in engineering, especially light structures. However, due to the material properties of high steel, its seismic performance has attracted wide attention. To study hysteretic behavior H-shaped members thin-walled sections Q690 a finite element model was built up by using general analysis software ABAQUS. Based on model, an extensive parametric carried out. The results showed that limiting flange width-thickness ratio and web height-thickness for were recommended be 11 65, respectively, actual engineering. Also, increase axial compression could lead significant decrease ductility steel. thinner more flexible section is, larger further reducing energy dissipation ability members.
